2012 Offshore Tournaments

     I have done my best to post the details for the 2012 Offshore Tournament Schedule.  Some of the Tournament's have not posted their new information and updated schedules for this 2012 season.  I left TBA-To Be Announced, with most of the information and contact numbers still posted from last year.  Hopefully this will give you an idea of the number of tournaments availiable.  As new details are posted, I will try to update this page.  Keep checking back and good luck to all.    Sherrie

April 27 -  40th Sebastian Inlet Sportfishing Association Spring Fling.

Offshore Sebastian Inlet. Headquarters at Capt. Hiram's Restaurant and Marina in Sebastian. Registration is 6 to 9 p.m. April 29th at Capt. Hiram's. Entry fee $200 per boat. Eligible species dolphin, wahoo and king mackerel. Cash payout for places 1st through 6th Place.  Fishing begins at first light and weigh-in deadline will be 4:30 p.m. Call (772) 589-4345, or visit www.fishsisa.com

TBA -  Coconuts on the Beach 15th Annual Wahoo and Dolphin Shootout.

Details not posted but this is the old information.  Website is still showing 2010 information.  Offshore Port Canaveral. Only wahoo and dolphin eligible. First Place Wahoo and Dolphin pay out $2000, First Place Ladies $300, First Place Juinor Angler $300. Grand prize for overall slam of combined weight of dolphin and wahoo. Entry fee is $225 a boat. TBA-   House of Power's 12th Annual Blue Water Brawl.

Details not posted but this is the old information.  Website is still showing 2010 information. Captain's meeting at Sebastian Inlet Marina. Anglers can start fishing as soon as the captain meeting is over, but must check in muct be the following day by 7 pm to the committee boat.  Eligible species are dolphin, wahoo, kingfish, grouper/snapper, yellowfin and swordfish.  There is an 80% payout for the tournament with 20% going to the Space Coast Early Prevention Center. June 9-  18th - Blue Water Open Charity Offshore Tournament.

Offshore Sebastian Inlet. Sponsored by Exchange Club of Sebastian. Headquarters at Captain Butcher's Waterfront Resort in Sebastian. Captain's meeting 6 p.m., June 4. Guaranteed $12,000 cash prizes, plus ladies and junior prizes. Eligible species dolphin, wahoo, kingfish, snapper/grouper. Entry fee $200. May 5-  2012 Central Florida Shootout

 First Offshore Tournament to include freshwater, saltwater, offshore and inshore species.  Anglers can get more infromation at www.centralfloridashoot.org

April 13-15th -  Ed Dwyer Other Side Invitational.

East of the Gulf Stream offshore Port Canaveral. Eligible species yellowfin tuna, wahoo and dolphin. Cash and prizes awarded to top tuna, dolphin and wahoo. Entry fee $500 per boat. Call Ed Dwyer at (321) 631-3321, or visit www.ticketfishing.com

April 2011 TBA? -  Corey's Bagels 5th Annual Chunk-A-Change Dolphin-Wahoo Tournament.

Post poned till 2011 due to poor weather in 2010.  Fishing is allowed offshore from any inlet. Headquarters at Squid Lips Restaurant in Sebastian Inlet. Only dolphin and wahoo eligible. Cash prizes are 60% percent to first place, 30% percent to second and 10% percent to third. Entry fee is ?per boat. Call Ron Yampolsky at (772) 538-1890.
